OBSC1 Kick-Off The Summer Party Saturday, July 7th. DJ music from 6 to 10 pm In response to many member requests to have early summer party on the beach, we’re please to announce the OBSC1 KICK-OFF THE SUMMER PARTY!BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND…DJ EDDIE from last year’s Labor Day picnic!This is a bring you own food and drink event. Bring your tables, chairs, food, drink and your dancing shoes!
   
Spring Membership Meeting Our meeting was held on May 19th at the Union Church, Lavallette, NJ.Key Items:

  • Last day for construction is June 22nd. Any building after this date will result in a fine of $500/day for the first 5 days and $1,000/day thereafter.
  • Seneca Security has been hired for the period of June 30th to Labor Day.
  • Due to an unexpected family emergency, our property manager, Bob Tormollan resigned. However, we were able to hire his son, Gavin in his place. Gavin will be on-duty full-time for the 10-week summer season.
  • Multiple activities are planned for the summer including Movie Night, DJ party on the beach, as well as multiple children’s programs. Info will be available at the badge booth, our web site and via e-mails to our members.
  • The proposed by-law amendment to reduce the number of trustees from 11 to 9 was approved.

OBSC1 Annual Labor Day Weekend Picnic, Saturday, September 1, 2007 (Rain or Shine!)ALL DETAILS TENTATIVE On the beach 3 - 8 pm, food 3 - 7 pm, DJ 4 - 8 pm.Register at the badge booth by 3:00 pm, Sunday, August 26

REMINDERS
  • Construction: In recognition of the membership’s need to finalize housing construction, the board has extended the deadline for construction to Friday, June 22nd (from June 15th). Community rules specify that construction should not take place between this date and September 15th, (except for emergency repairs). Any work taking place during this time will result in a $500 per day fine. After 5 days, the fine is $1,000 per day. Please remember that this rule is for the benefit of our community and our guests.
  • For non-emergency situations, residents are reminded to call the Dover Township Police Department at 732-349-0150. Residents should dial 911 in the event of an emergency.
   
Fall Membership MeetingSaturday, September 15th (tentative) The tentative date/location for the meeting is Saturday, September 15th. It will be held at the Union Church, Lavallette, NJ, 7 pm.Key Agenda Items:

  • 2008 Budget
  • Trustee Elections: Five (5) 2-year terms
